Regina Verani was born in Brazil. After finishing Medical School in Brazil, she came, with her husband, also a physician, to the US for a residency training in Pathology. Pathology, a combination of science and visual arts, according to Regina.
She has been a renal pathologist at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston since 1977. Her painting career started in 1996, after becoming a member of the Watercolor Art Society in Houston. Seascapes have been the subject of several of her paintings. Presently she uses a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic,collage, oil pastel and encaustic. Studies “Under the Microscope” is the subject of most of her recent paintings.
She is a member of the Watercolor Art Society in Houston and Visual Arts Alliance.
